Biomarkers are increasingly used to enable the earlier detection of cancer. Our recombinant antibody pairs and ELISA kits help identify biomarkers, soluble or expressed at the surface of circulating tumor cells (CTC) and other vesicles such as exosomes.
Our immunohistochemistry-validated antibodies are also used to access a deeper layer of information, for example to understand why and how certain tumors can evade immune surveillance.

In October 2021 our people across the globe joined hands to support #MoveAgainstCancer, a non-profit initiative aiming at raising money for charities working to improve the lives of people with cancer.
“My wife and I walked 32.2 miles in one day, which is the distance from our home to the Macmillan Cancer Unit at West Suffolk Hospital. This was my regular commute when I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
After a 5-month chemotherapy plan, I was given the ‘all clear’. What really hit home to us was how incredibly fortunate we are to benefit from life changing medicines and how important it is for an organisation such as Abcam to pursue its mission.
