Cambridge, UK, March 18, 2013: Abcam Plc, producer and distributor of high quality protein research tools, today announced its support for local good causes by donating an additional £45,000 to three local charities (£15,000 each). The three charities are: Red Balloon, a charity to support the recovery of bullied children; Winter Comfort, a social initiative to help the homeless; and Cambridge Community Foundation, a local charity working to connect a range of donors to local good causes.

“Supporting our community is really important to Abcam. We’ve been incredibly fortunate over the years and are now really pleased to be able to now give something back, providing support at what is a critical point for some of these charities. We look forward to helping other good causes in the future,” commented Jonathan Milner, CEO, Abcam.
