The Queen’s Award for Enterprise has been running since 1966 and is widely recognised as the premier award for business performance in the UK; granted annually for outstanding business achievement. At its first attempt, Abcam was just one of 135 companies across the UK to win one of these coveted awards. Abcam demonstrated excellent year-on-year growth in overseas sales between 2002 and 2004 with 84% of sales during these three years coming from overseas customers. The award is positive proof of the company’s outstanding success as an international business.
